While online stores provide convenience, require less overhead, and offer online exposure to a global market, many customers still enjoy the experience of shopping at a physical location. Often businesses utilize WordPress as it is a convenient content management system (CMS) that allows non-developers to manage various aspects of the site in an easy and straightforward manner.

Website plugins are available for WordPress allowing business owners to add functionality to their website with limited to no coding experience required, empowering them with the tools necessary to effectively manage their online presence without needing to spend hours learning how to hard-code them in.

Many business owners with brick and mortar shops are in need of locator plugins that show the customer where their physical locations are placed around the globe. There are many WordPress plugins which allow you to harness the power of Google Maps and create custom maps and markers that indicate your business’s physical stores, provide directions, business hours, and more.

  1. This is very interesting, You’re a very skilled blogger. I have joined your feed and look forward to seeking more of your magnificent post. Also, I have shared your website in my social networks!

    1. Hi Rae, many of these plugins will allow you to manually enter shop locations, etc. Payment is typically required for advanced features (customizing the shop location marker, display of the marker information, etc.) — feel free to contact me directly if you need help with something specific!

    1. Hi Mat,

The point of these plugins is to map out your store locations on an interactive map. If you want to create separate pages for each store, you could create your own WordPress pages (indexed by Category or Tag) or use custom post types to create “Stores” and index them in your site as such.

      Hope this helps!

      Bryan
